Band Elzevir was created in 2007 by Alex Louder under name Hogwarts. It was a folk death metal music with very strange and crazy experimental theme for songs - Harry Potter. Band recorded demo album with 9 tracks.
Name Elzevir was taken in 2009.
Music turned to melodic death metal with symphonic arrangements and folk parts.

Seemingly the band says "Melodic death metal .....with a hint of black metal, folk metal, and symphonic elements." Me personally, seems to be more than a hint of symphonic. Whatever, ...... this one is exceptional in my opinion. Hope they are dropping a new album soon. Shout out to Nor-Cal metal. Middle Earth
